Marie Williams From Cloonturk Kilkelly became a triple GOLD MEDAL Winner at this years Six Nations Primary School Internationals held in Dublin the 5th,6th,7th,of April 2013. Marie won team gold to add to her Gold Medals from Scotland 2012 and Wales 2011.Marie Attends Kilkelly N.S. Mayo Marie has achieved unprecedented sucess in the six nations primary school's international's. To win one gold is an achievment but to get 3 gold medals is unheard of. Marie has been playing well all season winning the Connaught Junior classifications at U12s, and has been placed in the top 4 under 12 girls in the country all season. Winning her third 6 nations was the icing on the cake for her. All at the Mayo Academy are proud of Marie, Marie has shown that if you train at this game what can be achieved, and Marie is an inspiration to all young girls who wish to take up the sport of table tennis.
Marie Williams pictured has already won 2 Primary school international Gold Medals in the Team Event. Marie is going for the hat-trick... and the Mayo Academy Coach and players are all cheering for her to do it. And her Coach E.Ditchburn is proud of her. To get 1 Gold medal is an achievement in itself but to be going for her third is amazing. Best of luck Marie
Thomas Joyce Aged 9 becomes the youngest of the Mayo Academy Players to be selected to play for Ireland in this years Primary School 6 Nations International.

The Mayo Academy and Players are proud of Thomas who follows Brian Dunleavy,Martin Ditchburn,Martin Williams,Eddie Ditchburn and Marie Williams who have all played in the primary schools internationals.
The Stiga Junior Challenger Event was held in St Louis Community School Kiltimagh on Sunday the 24th February 2013
64 Players decended upon Kiltimagh on Sunday the 24th February for the latest event in the Stiga Junior Challenger Series.
Play commenced at 10-00am and concluded at 5-30pm.
400 Matches were played at the event with each players playing an average of thirteen matches each.

Mayo Academy Players Return Home From The Stiga Connaught Junior Classification Event Held In Drum Athlone On Saturday The 9th February 2013 With An Impressive Amount Of Trophies And Medals
Picture left is Erin Prendergast from Knock who only started playing table tennis 3 weeks ago and also joined the Mayo Academy was playing in her first event and came away with the gold medal in the under17 girls. Plate event
Mayo Academy players return from Drum Athlone in bouyant mood after taking first place in 6 of the 8 age categories,at the Connaught Junior Classification event.
In what was a hotly contested junior classification event Mayo Academy Players showed their skills as they romped to victory in 6 of the 8 age categories on offer.
In the under 10 Boys event Thomas Joyce showed why he was the Number 1 seed as he captured the title for the third time in a row, to cement his place as the top under 10 in connaught. Thomas still has two more season,s in the under 10s and is going to be hard to beat as he is developing all the time.
Marie Williams played outstandingly in the under 12 girls also winning all three junior classifications this season and showing why she was seeded number one
The under 12 boys was won by Eddie Ditchburn who started the event as the number 1 seed Eddie played sublime table tennis and reached the final were he met the number two seed. Eddie showed why he was number 1 as he won the final by a score of 3-1.
Marie Williams was also in top form in the under 14 girls. where she romped to victory over the number 2 seed.
In the under 14 boys it was dominated by Mayo Academy Players with Matin-Edward Ditchburn contesting the final with Academy clubmate Brian Dunleavy. In what was a thrilling match Brian came out on top.With Martin Williams taking third place.
The Academy had no under 17 girls so it was down to the lads to try and take honours. And it proved to be the case.
The final was another all Mayo Academy affair with James Joyce and Daragh Egan contesting the final. This was James,s first final and he kept his nerve in a thrilling match, to clinch his first title.
