At the moment STIGA M.A.T.T. are working with Sheila Feeney and the North Mayo Schools Completion Programme

M.A.T.T. go into the schools to introduce Table Tennis to the pupils and at the end of the school year M.A.T.T. will run an interschool tournament for the schools taking part. in the programme.

STIGA M.A.T.T. ANNOUNCE FIVE MORE SCHOOLS TO COME ON BOARD OVER THE NEXT MONTH. SHEILA FEENEY THE PROJECT CO-ORDINATOR OF THE NORTH MAYO SCHOOLS COMPLETION PROGRAMME ANNOUNCED THAT FIVE MORE SCHOOLS WILL TAKE PART IN THE PROGRAMME. STIGA M.A.T.T. WILL RUN THEIR INTRODUCTORY COURSE IN THE SCHOOLS AND ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL RECIEVE THE CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION. THE SCHOOLS ARE AS FOLLOWS ST.TIERNAN'S CROSSMOLINA BELMULLETT VEC SCHOOL SCOIL IOSA'S SCOIL NA GLEITHRE MAOL MOYNE COLLEGE SCHOOL BALLINA stiga m.a.t.t. and sheila fenney are delighted with the news as children will get to learn a new sport and get more opportunities to partake in physical education this is a great opportunity for the sport of table tennis to progress in the west of ireland and stiga mA.T.T. ARE PLEASED TO BE ABLE TO TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO SHOW THAT TABLE TENNIS IS A POPULAR SPORT AND CAN BE PLAYED BY A WIDE VARIETY OF AGE GROUPS.

AND PUPILS FROM SCHOOL PADRAIG WHO HAVE BENEFITED FROM THE COACHING OF NATIONAL TUTOR EAMON NEALON AND COACH EDDIE DITCHBURN WITH YOUNG ALAN McGINTY HELPING OUT WITH THE COACHING ON THE DAY AND SCHOOL STAFF WHO WERE A GREAT HELP ON THE DAY AND JOINED IN THE FUN WITH THEIR RESPECTIVE CLASSES

Emma o'dhochartaigh who won the girls event

  and on the right is

 Kyle o'gallochir

who won the boys event on the day.

Emma then had to play Kyle to see who the outright winner would be.

 Kyle played really well on the day but with a fighting spirit Emma won for the girls and was the overall winner.

 they were watched over by the other pupils and staff,

pupils from school Colaiste Chomain who took part in the table tennis course run by STIGA M.A.T.T. and the North Mayo School Completion Programme with Edward Ditchburn { secretary of M.A.T.T. } and Alan McGINTY school Colaiste Chomain is in ROSSPORT County Mayo.

Below Mr Fahy teacher from Colaiste Chomain school could not resist the temptation of playing against the robot so joined in the fun on the day watched by Mayo player Alan MC’GINTY
